Dr.Peter Westoby is a Director at Community Praxis Co-op; Associate Professor in Community development at Murdoch University; Honorary Associate Professor in Deakin University, Australia and Visiting Professor at the Centre for Development Support in the University of the Free State, South Africa.
He holds a PhD in Political Science and International Relations and a Master of Social Administration and Planning from the University of Queensland, Australia. He has worked as a trainer, consultant, counsellor, advocate and advisor for the Australian Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies; Australian Volunteers International; Queensland Programme of Assistance to Survivors of Torture and Trauma; Centre for Development and Population Studies and South African National Council of YMCAs. He has also worked in several community development projects in the United Kingdom, Nepal, South Africa and Australia.
Dr. Peter is an accomplished academic, scholar, and practitioner with several journal, book chapter, and conference publications. His interests include facilitating collective conversations, researching, engaging in youth and community development projects, teaching, and engaging in reflective social practices.
