Dr. Kinley

Dr Kinley is an academic and researcher specialising in mathematics education, data science, and education systems improvement. He holds a PhD in Mathematics Education from Queensland University of Technology and postgraduate training in Data Science from the University of New South Wales.

With nearly two decades of professional experience, Dr Kinley has served as a senior researcher at the Bhutan Council for School Examinations and Assessment, a secondary school mathematics and science educator, and a trainer-researcher supporting graduate students and national projects. His expertise spans curriculum design, educational assessment, learning analytics, and technology-enhanced pedagogy, with strong proficiency in statistical and programming tools for data-driven decision-making. His work has contributed to national assessment reforms and international initiatives such as PISA-D and the National Education Assessment, while also advancing STEM teaching and the integration of Gross National Happiness values into Bhutan’s education.

Dr Kinley is a published scholar and conference presenter with recognised strengths in quantitative and qualitative research, Rasch measurement, and data analytics. A recipient of academic and civil service awards, he brings rich professional experiences and research insights. Currently based in Australia, he contributes to higher education, research collaborations, and policy-focused education initiatives.
