Kelly Tobden Dorji Tamang

Kelly Tobden Dorji Tamang is a researcher with over a decade of experience working in the conservation sector under the Royal Government of Bhutan. He has worked in various capacities across the forestry and water sectors, collaborating closely with local communities. His professional experience lies at the intersection of natural resource management and rural livelihoods, where he has contributed to forest management planning, biodiversity assessments, and ecosystem service evaluations.

Kelly holds an MSc in Water Management and Governance from IHE Delft Institute for Water Education, The Netherlands, and a BSc in Forestry from Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar University, India. He has authored academic papers, reports and presented at international conferences. He is currently a PhD candidate at Charles Sturt University, Australia, where his research focuses on institutional arrangements and water governance in Bhutan.
