Dr.Kaka is an experienced education professional with over 23 years of leadership and teaching experience. He holds a PhD in Education from the University of New England, Armidale, Australia. His doctoral research explored assessment and practices of Educating for Gross National Happiness in Bhutanese schools, applying the Theory of Practice Architectures. Kaka’s academic work includes multiple peer-reviewed publications, notably in the Australian and International Journal of Rural Education and the Bhutan Journal for Research and Development. He has also contributed to various national education conferences and international symposiums, including events hosted by Harvard University, the University of Sydney, and the International Symposium for Innovation in Rural Education (ISFIRE).
Over his career, Kaka has been recognised with prestigious national service awards, receiving the Bronze Medal for 10 years of dedicated service and the Silver Medal for 20 years of service from His Majesty the King of Bhutan. Currently, Kaka teaches at Ivanhoe Central School, New South Wales, Australia. Alongside his teaching, he also occasionally contributes to the academic community as a reviewer for the International Journal of Educational Research (Elsevier). His areas of expertise include educational leadership, school planning and management, teacher training, and educational policy development, with a passionate commitment to fostering educational excellence across diverse and dynamic settings.
