Chencho Tshering

Chencho Tshering is from Punakha, a vibrant district of western Bhutan. He completed his Bachelors Degree in Economics (Honors) from Sherubtse College, Post Graduate Certificate in Education from Samtse College of Education, and his Masters Degree in Education Leadership and Management from St.FX, Canada and Paro College of Education.

He has worked for more than 24 years in education as a teacher, principal, lead trainer, and module developer. As a Principal, he was deputed by Ministry of Education and Royal Civil Service Commission (RCSC) to establish a private higher secondary school in Paro, a western district of Bhutan. While working in Education, he took lead roles in developing modules and rolling-out nation-wide training for Ministry of Education (Bhutan), and was instrumental in designing, training-the-trainers (ToT), and rolling-out of Transformative Pedagogy for teachers in Bhutan. He was also a moderator for Nation-wide consultation for the preparation of Education Blue Print for the Ministry of Education. Further, he was also External Examiner for Samtse College of Education for three years.

Additionally, he has experience in training executives in civil service and managers in corporate world on Coaching skills, in coordination with RCSC and Financial Institution Training Institute (FITI - a training Institute Incorporated under Companies Act of Kingdom of Bhutan). He also worked as a trainer for RCSC on Managing for Excellence (MaX), and led trainings for the P1 (Professional 1) for Paro, Haa, and Wangduephodrang (districts in Bhutan). With all his experiences, he is currently pursuing his works on Education - Education policies, Education leadership and management, and overall organizational learning. Concurrently, he is also serving as an Adjunct lecturer for Paro College of Education, and Managing editor for Bhutan insights Journal.
